Breed and gender?

Due to the angle of the pics, they look like pullets. Maybe try and get some comb and wattle shots. I'm bad with breeds but number 1 maybe is a red sex link and number 5 maybe an EE?

Here are some close ups... sorry they are a little out of focus chickens don't like to hold still!!

That is good news! :) I don't really care what kind of chickens they are but good to know!

That is not to say that I don't care... so much as I am not too upset that they are not what they were sold to be I like them all the same! and appreciate all your help!

#2 and 5 could be black sexlinks, if there are no foot feathers (which #5 appeared to have in first photo?)...hard to tell in close ups...also #5 has more comb with redness than I would expect of a black sexlink (which should be a pullet if it is a black sexlink) but also more lacing in the feathers...but could just be immature feathers.

Color types are almost right for Black Sexlinks...body is a bit more angular though...but hey, they are hatchery birds so they vary a lot.

I recommend you assume all are pullets as of the moment, but watch and wait for better feather and comb development....#5 is iffy as to gender and breed for me.

Hello again! So these chicks are 7 moths old now! I am very pleased to say they are all quite lovely and all hens! I was concerned several months ago that "Violet" Chicken # 2 in the photos was a rooster lo and behold she is the first to lay eggs! Just started this week and has already laid 4! I believe the others aren't far behind! My girls have grown so fast and are quite lovely now! I will post pics of them soon! Here is Violet's1st beautiful egg! My daughter Grace is a very proud chicken mama!
