Breed Clarification?

My neighbor has a bunch of adorable chickens, all various breeds like Rhode Island Reds, Hybrids, Orpingtons, Plymouth Rocks, Silver Laces, Leghorns, and others I couldn't identify. But it's actually the rooster, Slim, who I can't find. He's a beautiful bird, and quite the horndog, haha! The best way I can describe him is having a "lion's mane". One of his sisters too, Flora, is a bit of a mystery; all white with pale speckles. If anyone knows what they are, just let me know

Are these birds hatchery-bought, or hatched from within the flock? He brings to mind a Swedish Flower Hen....but crossbreed is also somewhat possible, depending on origin.

I'm not sure where she got them. I know she got them when they were chicks (they seemed big enough to be outside as they followed a hen around). She was surprised when one ended up being a rooster, but he's no louder than the hens imo, and crows during the day.

Dunno. Just some place where you're taking a chance if you end up with a rooster or not.

I agree with Alexandra. He's either a mixed breed or Swedish flower hen. I think a mixed breed is more likely-- I could see him possibly being a speckled Sussex/red sex link cross, or something similar.

I agree he looks mixed breed, but he is a handsome fella.
