Breeds that you absolutely HATE

I haven't "owned them all"....so I could say I hated any one breed, but I do not like the LOOKS of

La Fleche - don't think I could stand the "chicken version" of Satan himself looking at me every day
Naked necks - for some reason the bare skin just doesn't do it for me

I guess the good thing is that God made so many different ones that we can all find something to LOVE. That's why there's "chocolate and vanilla"......

I like what he said!!! I am a beginner - geezzz - my coop is not even done! I started with BR's for the specific reason that 1. they have a good rep for being mild in personality 2. good layers 3. lay large eggs

..okay - to be PERFECTLY honest...I also liked that they are black and white - which happens to be our farm colors!

edited to add - I would not be opposed to adding a few frizzles ...but it would be for fun - not for economics.​

Well, I have always been a silkie hater and then someone sent me some silkie eggs in a swap, so now I actually have some

and then at TSC someone had bought all the chicks in the bantam bin EXCEPT the one silkie (someone smart) and I couldn't stand to let it sit in there by itself so thought it might as well join the other uglies in my brooder.
I thought naked necks were ugly too and then I kind of got fascinated with them and now I have two of those chicks in the brooder too(I hear they make good meat birds--that is the excuse I am using anyway).

I don´t hate any animal for the look it got by humans breading it that way

it´s not their fault.
There are a few breeds which are not exactly visually appealing to my eye or have other traits I would not want in my flock, so I would not buy them. But hate?

I don't care for Naked Necks, somehow the bare areas creep me out. Same with Showgirls. I used to not like Polish, as well, but this year I almost bought a couple. We'll see what happens next year.
