Breeds that you absolutely HATE

I guess I really dont like frizzles, or turkens. But to each his own....theres plenty of variety to suit everyone

some new birds we got that we're in love with though:
2 seramas (so tiny and cute - very docile),
6 large-size black cochins (we only had bantams before, and loved them, but gosh those big ones look so cool walking around the yard in their big fluffy legs - everyone that visits comments on them!),
and 2 goslings (how can you not love something that follows you everywhere! - very different from all the ducks we've had - they only come if food is involved)

I don't like any kind of banties (they are mean little things) and I am don't like the looks of polish chickens or anything with big hair like them and I have seen some pretty feather footed breeds but I wouldn't want feather footed chickens.

My favorites are Wyandottes, turkens and delawares

Welllll when I first was looking at getting chickens, which wasn't that long ago, I didn't like any thing different. Like fancy hair polish or feathered feet. But I now own a brahma and I love her! She is so pretty, her name is phyllis. Soooo I admit the show girls an silkies kinda still scare me! And the naked necks look so funny! But until I own one I'm not gonna say I hate em! I do have one black astralorp (kona is her name) and one delaware (washington) that seem to peck me every day! Grrrrrr

I really wanted a RIR to add to my flock. She was an aggressive, egg-eating bully. I can honestly say it's the one bird I've ever put down in the six years I've been raising chickens that was not sick or injured. She was to bad to even re-home. I can't say I hate the breed, but I have no desire to own a RIR again.

I had Barred Rocks, Australorps, and four sex links briefly but they were the flightiest birds ever, so agitated if I so much as breathed near them. I like a bird with personality but not aggressive, looks are not important. That said, I wouldn't waste too much time on a small bird for Alaska, we have too many obstacles here to indulge. Give me a worker hen and I'll treat 'er good.
