Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance EX Sale?

That's just the Octagon 20, without the automatic turner or the humidity pump. You need to look at the Octagon 20 Advance EX model. That's on sale for $100.00 off, but it's still $399.00. (I have purchased more than one of them.)

That fine deal would be the Eco, I was referring to the Advance EX, which is digital and comes with the humidity pump. Literally plug and play with a bit of water and eggies added!

Can't afford $399 but $99 I can do, plus I like turning my own eggs. Does anyone know if humidity a problem with the Octagon 20?

According to the hygrometer, yes. According to the eggs, no.
I live in a somewhat humid environment, and only added water every 3rd day or so.
I was hatching my own eggs, and had great hatches when I didn't add water or wet paper towels. Some shipped eggs required the wet paper towels, though.

So...

I got my Advance EX in and, per the advice of you fine folks (*cough* enablers *cough cough*), I had to open it to get the warranty info out and registered. Well, the hubby had to get involved to see this lovely investment. He figured that since we already had it open, we had to get out all of the pieces to be sure nothing was broken. Since those were all out, we might as well figure out how it all goes together. Now that it was all assembled, no point in putting it back in the box, so we should just set it up in the living room where we had planned...

We sat together looking at it for about 5 mins. He broke the silence with..."We really need some more eggs..."

So how am I going to have this glorious incubator as the center piece of our living room all winter and not hatch in it?!?!? I'll already have to dust it this weekend!

I already have two chicks in the brooder that will likely need to be in for the winter. They will be 5 weeks old tomorrow, but it has already started to get cool in the evenings and they are far too small to integrate with my 18 week olds, even if the temps were ideal.

I cannot have more chicks in the house. I cannot have more chicks in the house. (Repeat x 10)

LaurenM23 looks like you have already done 5 through 10 on the list, might as well do 1 through 4!
