I really am not sure. I just don’t know what it could have been unless something frightened her and she had a heart attack. All of the other rabbits are doing great and eat all the same stuff she had. I still am just kind of in shock about it.

Of course. It would be so hard for me if anything happened to any of the rabbits. Did you ever get a new doe once you found out that Hershey was a dude? Can you give me a quick list of who you still have over there? I have Caspian, Mir, Vera, 7 kits, and a buck coming Sunday.

I need to go pick up my other doe anytime now. She is a recently weaned doe so it will be some time before I can breed her. The breeder asked if I wanted another breeding pair (broken smoke Pearl and Siamese smoke Pearl) because she’s downsizing a little more. I haven’t decided on them yet. For now I have Hershey, Louie, Lilly, and the three kits. The new doe will be Louie’s breeding mate since he’s too closely related to Lilly. And then I’ll at least be keeping Willow. Did you say you are planning on keeping does from Vera’s litter?

Hopefully a pair. But maybe just one, Vera's attitude has changed a little for the better. She's an incredible mum and had 7 kits in her first litter?! Crazy. She has really nice pedigree and everything... But we will see. I'll be getting the new buck to breed with Mir and then keep a buck from that litter to breed with Vera's offspring. But maybe I'll just do one for this litter and another one in the future. It all depends on how this goes.
