Hopefully a pair. But maybe just one, Vera's attitude has changed a little for the better. She's an incredible mum and had 7 kits in her first litter?! Crazy. She has really nice pedigree and everything... But we will see. I'll be getting the new buck to breed with Mir and then keep a buck from that litter to breed with Vera's offspring. But maybe I'll just do one for this litter and another one in the future. It all depends on how this goes.

7 on her first litter is crazy! Quinn never was terrible to deal with but I noticed she became extra friendly after having the babies. It’s interesting how it can change them. Well I can’t wait to watch your adventure with these babies!

Oh, that's interesting to hear! I would love to keep Vera and one of her daughters. If she didn't work out I could always just get a doe from a different one of her future litters. I will update if anything big happens! Oh, and their fur colors when it starts coming in!

When did your kits' coats start coming in?

They were born May 2nd and by May 5th Icould start to tell a little better. By May 10th, hair was growing in. They can change the first few weeks but you should have a pretty good idea by at least 8 days. Here is the broken blue on day 3 (May 5th). She was lighter, almost all pink with very light tint of gray the first day. Within two days it started to darken.

All doing well except one. Lost one this afternoon, probably got suffacted. There are two that are a bit more wrinklier than the others which I'm guessing means they haven't had as much to eat. But 7 is a big number for a new doe to have on her first litter so I will definitely give her grace if she can't feed them all. It's just part of life.

Oh my goodness, sweetness! I’m sorry you lost one but yes 7 is a lot. The breeder I bought from sent me a picture yesterday of a doe with her litter of 11!!! I couldn’t believe it. I can’t wait to see the coloring of yours come in. Those markings look so nice!!!
