Thank you for letting me know! I am so glad someone can tell me this! This may not be right breed to go into. They are so cute though!
They're sooo hard to breed, but imao they're worth it. Everyone loves them.
What other breeds are some favorite's you guys may have in mind for possibly breeding?
Velveteens! They're so precious. Super floppy ears and rex fur, and they're itty bitty, I'm not sure if they have dwarfing genes tho. The breed is just starting up and needs more breeders.
I also LOVE my Havana rabbits, they're a rare breed.

Gahhh!

I got to meet a couple of them at my last rabbit show. They're so sweet and the floppy ears just kill me😭❤️

I might actually get these at some point. Once I have the netherlands dwarfs sold. Their ears wouldn't be a problem and they might actually have an easier time in the heat. I might set up a run in the yard rather than keeping them in hutches 24/7.

Anyone know anything about the Rex X Holland Lop mix? It isn't ARBA approved but they are supposed to be hypoallergenic as well. Might be a good one to consider.

Yes, sorry I was looking for the name!

@Everose, what temp is too hot for the Netherlands ears?
I think they would thrive in upper seventies down to the negatives. Their ears are a cooling mechanism so once they start stretching out, or panting the babies ears are going to grow longer.

Oh- well mighigan rarely gets past that through the summer and if it does, then we just bring them indoors.

How many kits do they usually have and how many do you loose? (Roughly)
