ok!Then I would suggest older rabbits as their personalities wouldn't be that big of a deal. You can breed them sooner and hand raise their offspring so that they are very, very friendly!

I hope she does too!! Can’t wait to see some babies! I’ve decided to wait and breed Lilly at the end of September, just hope Hershey isn’t still sterile from the heat.I was palpating Chai today, due the 5th, and she actually seems pretty promising! I think I can feel quite a few kits! I felt Cas and Lorelei to compare what they should feel like. I just hope she has kits, just so I know this Mir and Cas thing isn't on Caspian![]()
September 22nd for Christmas kits!!! I plan to breed Lore then, you should breed her then!I hope she does too!! Can’t wait to see some babies! I’ve decided to wait and breed Lilly at the end of September, just hope Hershey isn’t still sterile from the heat.
That’s around the time I was planning! I just really hope Hershey isn’t sterile. It’s still so warm here and I’ve read some can stay that way for up to 90 days!! Hope it’s not the case for him. If I had the space to move him inside, I would. But I just don’t have the space.September 22nd for Christmas kits!!! I plan to breed Lore then, you should breed her then!
Chai is 9 months, Lorelei is coming up on 5 months. That’s around the time I was planning! I just really hope Hershey isn’t sterile. How old is Lore and Chai? Is this their first litters?
Will this be Chai’s first litter?Chai is 9 months, Lorelei is coming up on 5 months.
Yes! I really hope everything goes well! But she is at the prime breeding age, so hopefully! I palpated and believe I feel babies, she has also been nesting with any hay I give her. Will this be Chai’s first litter?
I’ve researched taking care of kits because I thought about it when Lilly did so poorly. But I opted for letting nature takes its course, which I know is hard!! It does seem like it can be hard to keep them alive even though you don’t have to feed them as often as like kittens or puppies. Did she breed more than one time, like on different days? Maybe there is a chance she had one premature and won’t have the others until her due date? Did the baby look small? I’ve read of that happening. If it were me, I’d just leave her be and not palpate anymore. And maybe make sure none of the other rabbits are too close to bother her.AGH. CHAI. CHAI. CHAI.
WHY.
Chai had a kit. One. 4 days early. I palpated, she has a heck lot more left. No nest. Kit was basically dead. I DID NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPPPPPENNNNNN *interest hysterical laugh crying emoji*
I have had such a rough animal week, we are just getting smashed between the rabbits and the flock...
I asked some other breeders... I think I would rather let nature take its course, even if I save the rest of her kits, it is ROUGH to try to care and feed them.
BLAGH. Any suggestions on what I do??
She just had another kit. I am going to keep shelving them until she builds a nest. The kits are all healthy, I think she's in labor right now. No, only bred her once. This 2nd baby is plump and healthy.I’ve researched taking care of kits because I thought about it when Lilly did so poorly. But I opted for letting nature takes its course, which I know is hard!!
