Ugh. I lost the two other kits, one left, and Chai's not in milk. I don't know anymore. All I can do is wait until the kit dies or until Chai can feed it. Very disappointing. Heck of a birthday 😂

Watch Mirabelle fake this pregnancy... :hit

I will rebreed her with Lorelei September 22nd for Christmas kits. If Mir fakes this pregnancy... I won't know what to do anymore 😂

Definitely! That was such a rough litter, I also wonder if she knew that so she didn't care for them, the same as they will kill any sickly kits who won't make it to protect the others.

Okay here's the whole deal:
Mirabelle had had at least three other litters. One successful, Chai's father was out of that litter, another she had no nesting material and had kits on the wire in December - all kits died. And another this summer with Huckleberry. Mirabelle had been bred FOUR times to a proven buck named Caspian who has sired 2 other "successful" litters, and Mirabelle continues to fake it every time. He works. She works. What is going on?!

Ok that’s what I was thinking. That really is crazy!! I wonder what in the world could be the issue with them together. And you see fall offs with them each time? It’s very strange.

Yes, successful fall offs! Mir is due the 12th. I plan to palpate her today, hanging herbs in the house for the rabbits right now 🤣 There are at least 10 large bunches of basil, lemon balm, mint, parsley, cilantro, and rosemary! The house looks a bit like a jungle at the moment... But boy, does it smell good!

I bet it smells wonderful!! Did you start your herbs in your house or outside?
