BRM's Bunny Thread! ❤️🐰❤️

I know a bit about it but have never experienced it. He finally did start to walk around and eat. He attempted to breed (but was backwards and never corrected himself 😒). I’ll check his hay level in the morning and see how he’s doing.
How is he?

He didn’t eat a ton of hay last night, but he did eat some. And when we got him out in the run this morning he immediately started walking around and eating. Even hopped! Maybe he was just hot and scared yesterday. We are gonna watch him close today though.
Awesome! I'm so glad he's doing better! So did you breed Lilly then?

Thank you, me too! We mixed some alfalfa in his hay so hopefully it will encourage him to eat more. He still has yet to breed Lilly though. He cleans her and gets on the wrong way 😒. I’m going to keep putting them together until something happens. But even then, he could still be sterile so she may not get pregnant for a while. I’ll just mark 31 days after I see something happen to give her a nest box and see.

Hershey is still not eating very much hay. He is also not interested in breeding. But he does eat pellets and grass when on the ground. I’m going to give him less pellets (don’t give him much to begin with), so hopefully it will encourage more hay eating. He is going to be my daughters show rabbit for the fair so we’ve decided to just bring him inside. For the sake of making sure he is completely healthy and maybe that will help if he is sterile. I read a study about royal jelly for sterile bucks, anyone ever tried it? I’m going to get some apple cider vinegar to put in his water also.

Whatever you do to get him to eat, do it. I wouldn't take pellets out unless they are just supplements and will make him sick with too much. Pellets are not bad for rabbits. When is the fair?
