Broken bloody nail...

Put a pinless peeper on one of my chooks... Tried to scratch it off at first... about 40 mins later when putting her to bed saw she had a bloody nail where the end had been broken off. Bleeding has stopped. Is this cause for concern? I have no chicken antibiotic spray... do I need to spray it or treat it in some way?

She'll be fine. If nail is hanging on you may want to trim the broken part.

No it is broken off at the end.

If it continues to bleed you can apply styptic pencil or even corn starch.

Seems to have stopped as of now Luckily she is going to sleep so it can have a full 12 or so hours healing. Can she get infected because of it being broken?
