broken nail

okay so this just happened. Rooster broke his nail almost completely off. I dont know how but i did head out. cleaned it off and put a gauze pad on. it was still bleeding but i applied pressure and wrapped it with tape around his toe.

Do i do anything else? it was bleeding but not profusely just like a lot if i pressed on it or he shook in my hands. Do i need to do anything extra? ill check the pad after a few minutes and see if it soaked to see if the bleeding has stopped.

You could try putting a little cornstarch on it to get it to stop bleeding quicker, but other than that I think he should be okay!

i went ahead and tried but it kept bleeding. i tied it extra good this time and ill check it again later. the first gauze was soaked

i did however leave enough cornstarch in the gauze just incase too. he seems fine except its frigid too so i couldnt keep tending to it.
