Broken leg on my duckling

I understand... just wanted you to feel what it is supposed to feel like in case the tendon slipped in the bad leg... does the bad leg have a tiny indent there instead?

It's ok...

Water therapy might help... let it swim in warm water for a while, just make sure the room is warm and dry it off well afterwards so it doesn't chill... you can use a blow dryer on *Low setting only*, don't want to burn it...

It may never correct though... but as long as it eats and drinks and is active, it may not matter... will your mom let you keep it?

I don't think so We have two dogs already, and they aren't allowed inside the house by the owner. But I'll keep it for a few days and try the water idea. Thank you so much!!!

I hope you will find a home or rescue organization for the duckling, not return it to the outdoors. Domestics do not survive without care. Not ducklings, I do not thnk.

now you know you can't just go out and let it go? it will not survive that young on it's own.

I'd contact an organization like http://www.southfloridawildlifecenter.org/about/our_mission

If they can't take the duckling and raise till old enough to be on it's own they may know someone who will.

Oh, and @Laurabenson25 I just noticed the bread in the picture with the duckling. Bread is not a good snack for ducks, especially little ducklings.
