I got a new batch in my brooder. It cost very little to build - I made it with leftover pieces of plywood and pressboard. I only bought one piece of plywood and a wooden window from Habitat for Humanity Restore. It's good for up to 2 weeks depending on the breed, then they go in a bigger brooder in the coop.
The window makes for easy access - I just hook a bit of rope attached to it to a hook at the back of the top.
There are wheels at the bottom to move it easily.
Inside are hooks for a bucket with nipples for water and the heatlamp.
