I use my dog crate #200, looks the same size. Line the floor with a piece of heavy plastic to hold 2" of pine shavings, set feeders on a brick. This serves as 'deep litter' for tiny peeps and will be good for 6-8 peeps for 4 - 5 weeks. I use a nipple waterer. The red [150] heat lite goes in a cage on top. The whole thing is wrapped in a big beach towel with the back half wrapped in foil. Small branches for roosts at different levwls.

I will try to get pix up when it is back together.

I have a suggestion that has worked for me. I had a bird feeder that I wasn't using anymore for wild birds and it was just sitting around. It suction cups to a window so you can see the birds while your doing dishes or whatever. I stick it to the inside of my rubbermaid tote at whatever level works so that they can eat but it's almost impossible for them to poop in or scratch it out. It is wonderful and I have very little waste if any. I love it and I'm going to look for some more of them!

I've also used this on my outdoor quail pen. I just pulled the suction cup through one of the holed in the wire.

Hope that helps!

Okay here are my babies. They are 4 weeks old today. I have no clue what breed they are. Anyone have a guess? I know it is a small space but it is only till this weekend.

And this is my favorite. Her name is Lilly. See, she is a redhead (like me) and I am partial to that!

OK. Here is my brooder set up as promised. It is a 200 dog crate, The feeder adapter will get a 2 or 3 foot PVC pip adaptation when they move to a coop. There is a foil cover now that I removed for the picture. The low roosts are branches. The nipple waterer is hung on a chain w/1" links so that it can be raised an inch at a time as they grow. The paper toels will come off of the 2" of pine shaving bedding [with DE mixed in] tomorrow since everyone is now dry.
