BROODER thread! Post pics of your brooders!

Here is the one I just built, I keep them in my garage and put up another board on one side at night to keep the temp up. Im new to this site and to the whole chicken raising so any advice I could get on maybe some improvements to my current setup would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Looks good to me.

This time of year I wait a little longer to move the chicks out to the big coop, so I saw a need for a brooder with roosting space. I converted an old beat-up dresser into a brooder. I used window screen to reduce the amount of dust they were creating, and the bottom drawer pulls out for easy cleaning.

I love it! Repurposed furniture always makes me smile for some reason.

I was using big rubber totes, which I have a couple of young ones in. I have 30 chicks this year, so a larger brooder was in order. My hens will not be happy with all the young ones!

I really like your setup. Although the leg support seems a bit feeble but it could totally be the fact that I've yet to build one myself. But I love how it's off the ground and easy to keep little fingers and drooling dogs away from them.

Just finished assembling the lid to our brooder. It's a 50 gallon Sterilite tote with the top cut out and chicken wire zip-tied to the lid. Really simple to build and I'm super happy with the results.

I'm experimenting with getting the temp right (trying a couple different bulbs) at the moment.

I started to go with getting a large plastic tub, but was afraid that the girls would out grow it, so I decided to build one out of scrap wood from the coop and run that I am building. It is 3 feet wide and 4 feet long, I had to add a panel to the top all the way around because at about 1 week in they were jumping to the top. I also have a lid with chicken wire that sits on top of it, but I don't need that for another week or so.

Ignore the messy basement, its the only spot that we could fit this thing in! lol Also it is heated down there too so the girls are nice and comfy!
