Broody Chicken Is Literally Out Of Reach

Hi,

This is my first time posting here, so please redirect me if needed.

One of our family chickens has gone broody. We've dealt with this before, with her and with several other chickens, but this time she's disappeared underneath a large shed, and we can't reach her to get her out. Any tips on how we might lure her out, away from her nest?

Broody hens are pretty good at sticking to the nest and ignoring all enticements but they need to leave the nest at least once a day to eat, drink, poop, dust bathe, etc. Perhaps you can catch her when she is doing that. It just requires good timing as she won't be off the nest for very long.

Would the eggs be viable if you pulled her away? Can you pull up some Flooring boards in the shed?

Thank you! She did in fact just come out of hiding, and we were able to catch her. We were getting worried because she'd been under there over two whole days.

Now that she's out, I'd see about getting the eggs out if possible so they don't rot down there and otherwise, figure out a way to block them from going under there so you don't have to deal with this again!

Unfortunately I don't think we can reach the eggs to get them out. But we will block it so no more chickens can go underneath. Thanks!
