Broody hatch-a-long!!! With Pippin!

Pippin's great! We took away her old eggs and replaced them with the new ones. We will candle the old eggs just to double check. I hope Pippin won't mind sitting for an extra 2 weeks. Hope she doesn't give up

The only problem is... I got 6 eggs instead of 4.. If more than 3 hatch (I can only have a maximum of 3 more chickens) I'll have to sell some when they get older.
I just hope at least 1 hatches

Hi our Snuggles started with being Broody 4 days ago I don't know if I should risk to put fertilized Eggs under that Fluffy tuschi. She is just 8 month and I am not sure if she is really staying on it for 21 days.I wanted to top up my Flock from 4 hens to 6 at least, but I have time.My last 2 Hatches with the Incubator were not successful so having a broody hen doing the job of becoming Mommy is appealing.

josie, my first broody, hatched 4 eggs for me a week ago. she was 9 months old when she went broody. she was a super sweet broody and has been a great mama so far.

this is how princess is. she was even doing it before she fully committed. she is a little over a week in on her clutch.

I put food and water right in front of the nestbox but it doesn't look like she is eating much is that normal?

i had to pull josie off once a day until lockdown or she wouldn't eat or drink. i did this for princess too the first couple days. she is doing it herself now.
