Pippin took her chicks out to free-range in the garden with the rest of the flock.

She taught them how to forage, she must be a good teacher since I've never seen a tiny chick proudly carrying a giant worm around until today!
The chicks all act like mini Pippins; brave, fun and proud!

I'm so happy for you!
Pippin's kids are fine, growing wing and tail pin feathers now! They go outside everyday.
Pippin did try to attack my dog who was watching her chicks through the chicken wire.
at least i know she can protect them!!!
Mommas are fierce! I didn’t realize how fierce my broody could be until she tried to flog the cat, scared both me and the cat 😂 I’ll join in the photos once the last egg is done hatching and chickes are all dry <3

I was surprised that chicks are not all that wet, a little moist, but definitely nothing like what I saw in the incubator photos...

I'm glad that Pippin doesn't try to attack me! when she tried to attack the dog, she looked really scary!
