I have a young flock of hens not all have started laying. So I have golf balls in my nests so they know where to go. I currently have two silkies who have gone broody and are sitting on the golf balls. Will they stop being broody on their own if the golf balls are still in the nest or will they continue to sit if they aren't hatching? Thanks!! :)

If a hen wants to be broody they will! especially silkies, they will sit on an empty nest for weeks!

Yes, like Johnn said, silkies are super brooders! If you want to break their broodiness, take the silkie into a seperate cage with food water/etc. Silkies are difficult to break, though.
