my hens been on some eggs for today is the 21 days from when I sat them under her. The last five days it’s been so hot I live in the high desert and she is off for longer periods is that normal do i just leave her be or put her back on them are the eggs gonna be ok in this heat.? This is my first time with a broody. Thank you for all your help I’m just hoping they hatch. One got cracked four or five days ago and I could tell it was developed but I’m not sure how it got broken. This is where she choose to sit lol I have a coop they don’t use it to sleep at all lol just for shade cuz I have a tarp over it as well but she choose her and I just left her alone

Leave her alone. She knows how long she can be off the eggs when it's hot. She needs to be able to take care of her needs in the heat, and she will return to the eggs when she judges they are losing heat. Be sure she has cool drinking water easily accessible.
Thank you so much I’m sooo anxious and worried first time.! I have sprinklers on for them and lots of water and shade for her and the other ladies

You need to trust your broody to know what's going on in her eggs and she will arrange them accordingly. She's very much tuned into the sounds her chicks are making and what those sounds represent as far as the health and viability of each egg. She may choose to discard some eggs as having problems with the embryo.

I’ve noticed that as well.!! After how many days would I know they won’t hatch.?

By the 23rd day, any unhatched eggs probably won't. She will also very likely abandon the unhatched eggs.

By that time, if an egg has a viable chick, it should be showing obvious signs of life. Dead eggs won't.
My mother in law checked on them yesterday periodically and say each time she wasn’t on them 😞 and last night I checked before heading to bed and she wasn’t as well so I’m not sure what to thing 😔 today is a 21 days of a whole day that she first sat on them

Should I just let them sit there or try to put them in an incubator
