Broody Hens!!!

They'll like you better in a few days, when they're back to normal.

To break them you lock them up in an elevated wire cage or a small pen with food and water, and keep them in there until they no longer show broody behavior. It can take 2 to 5 days depending on how broody the chicken is.

When you think they have been in jail long enough, keep them in for an extra day or two. I've had a hen fake me out recently! She stopped getting all puffed up when I approached her, and went out with the flock all day. When everyone else went to roost, there she was in the nest box!
