I have 5 bantam cochin hens -- they are about 1 year old. Two of the 5 have been incredibly broody for 4 weeks and counting:cd. Does anyone have any tips?

I keep taking the eggs from them (they're not laying much) and they continue to hunker down in a nest letting everyone know they're grumpy. The bummer is that I have 4 bantam chicks about 3 months old that are in a temporary coop waiting to meet their new buddies. Everytime I try an introduction, it gets nasty. I have successfully introduced 2-3 flocks to existing flocks with just alittle pecking and then all live harmoniously. This is my first batch of Cochin Bantams -- is this a personality trait?

I would be forever grateful if someone could help me.

Our bantam cochins were always hatching out babies, so I think it is the breed. We had a lot of different breeds and the cochins and one sebright were the only ones to go broody. Good luck!
