Broody??

I'm not sure whats wrong with my buff orp, she will sit in the nest box for a few hours a day but doesnt lay any eggs. I wondered if anyone had any experience of this, im not sure if she's broody or ill?

A lot of my hens spend time in the nest box. They're not broody unless they don't get up but once or twice a day, and sleeping on the nest is the biggest indicator. Is she eating, active, etc? Some hens (or roosters, they've been known to sit in the nests, too) just find it a comfy place to hang.

Thank you for your reply donrae, she is very active and seems her normal self. i'll just keep an eye on her, maybe she just wants some quiet time away from the others thanks again
