Thank you! With no testing yet but the help of @Lady of McCamley:

I'm going to assume the cause of the CRD in my flock is most likely MG and keep a closed flock, watch them carefully, minimize stress and treat accordingly until I get the funds to find out for certain.

A digital one. Easy to clean.

Tylan 50 can be given orally? The other stuff I’d have to order and it would be awhile until it arrived.
Yes, it and Tylan 200 can be given orally or by injection, but note that either way it must be given 3-4 times a day.

Ignore all posts and websites that say it can be given once a day, this is *not* true.

I can calculate I just need a starting point. ml/weight and what route it’s for.
Tylan 50 - one ml per pound per day (divide by three or four)
Tylan 200 - 1/4 ml per pound per day (divide by three or four)

Does that help?

Sorry, I wasn't arguing, just trying to explain why MG isn't a terrible thing cause it is so wide spread. I haven't had to treat mine with anything as I just let it take its course but I do use essential oils that I spray in my coop. They really do help! Also, organic apple cider vinegar in the water helps run the course faster, or so it seems to help.

their babys Kathy. also she works all day. Is the powder meant to be gave all day ? Can the oral be mixed in water and gave all day ? OR can it be done twice a day?

I had no idea it could be given orally at all.

Yes and for how long? I seen 5 days max somewhere for injection I think?
These are bantam chicks so still 1 ml per pound?
@AlleysChicks , sorry for the loss of your calf. :hugs
Thank you. :hugsIt was probably a heifer too! I didn’t check but she always has big boys.

@AlleysChicks , are you going to weigh in pounds or grams?
Either or. My scale does both.
