I will echo that with birds at about 12 weeks one can generally determine sex by the saddle feathers alone. Longer, pointier, glossier saddle feathers are cockerels. The ones with lighter, more uniform, wider, and rounded saddle feathers are pullets. It's almost foolproof by that time. Once you know how to look for it, it's easy to spot. If I get a chance I'll take some pics and post them.

Score! Perfect, thank you so very much

The path does not appear to be complete. If you have uploaded the pictures here on BYC when you click the Uploads link at the top of the page it should take you to your pictures. Double click on the image and it should load on a new browser window. Highlight the complete path it will be like http://www.thewebsitename.com\\subdirectory\\chicksimage.jpg The link above is a URL which is for making a web page link. The opening code and closing code are to the left and the image name outside of that. In any case you will want html for images, use the IMG button. pastethecomletepath

andalusion. thanks for the input...I still am not able to get it to work right...........

VM,
I do it old school and it works for me.

I pull up the picture in a second window of my browser to make sure that the picture has a valid URL. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/68178_dscf1527.jpg
I
then copy and paste that onto the BYC webpage. Ctrl C and then Crtl V
I then drag my mouse while holding the left mouse button over the URL, highlighting the line that of the picture address.
And the last step is to click on the "Img" tab. That should put
on the right side of the [icthre URL "https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/68178_dscf1527.jpg" .

Simple and easy. It gets easier after you do it once or twice. Call me if you have any questions.

Question...

When your trying to create the link where are the pictures? Are they on your computer? Have you uploaded them to the BYC server using the Uploads link? Have you uploaded them to a free picture storage site?

I know people have used other picture site, including Flikr, Photo bucket, ect.
