I was not familiar with this breed but wow what gorgeous coloring!

From first egg a month ago to today's egg.

Thank you for telling me to relax they would start laying Boy have they ever!!

Good question but then I never pick the first rose off any of the bushes in the spring!! ??

I got my first buckeye egg today. Crazy pullet waited until the coldest day ever to start laying.

I just got done calling Meyer Hatchery. The lady that answered had no idea about the history of there birds orther then what was in the catelog. I guess thats not to surprising.

Thought maybe it is double yoke also.The other one so far today was also large! We stepped up the oyster shell amount ?? The birds are still living in the garage so I knew when she laid the egg.Buck cheered her on and the other three girls were roaring encourgement!!
