Budgie Breeding

It has been a learning experience for sure.
Mhm, normally if a female chooses a nest box, the other one, even if she has 1000 others to choose from, will go and fight over that one nest box. And also you can never know about the dad, they are quite not monogamousšŸ˜³

Checking on my babies today and got a surpriseā€¦..first hatch in nest #2
And I guess Itā€™s about time to start figuring out names!!!!!

I am basically trying to create a bigger brighter opaline Australian budgie which more or less is the size of a English budgie (and it worked, the chicks are larger in size than any of my chicks ever before, but as a side affect I got that, they scream a lot)
