It has been a learning experience for sure.

Mhm, normally if a female chooses a nest box, the other one, even if she has 1000 others to choose from, will go and fight over that one nest box. And also you can never know about the dad, they are quite not monogamous

And I guess It’s about time to start figuring out names!!!!!

Perhaps I should try wearing a bikini and see if that helps trigger their breeding.

Ayyy congrats. Did you candle the eggs? Thats a lot of eggs. I would candle them and only keep the fertile ones (easier for the females)

I am basically trying to create a bigger brighter opaline Australian budgie which more or less is the size of a English budgie (and it worked, the chicks are larger in size than any of my chicks ever before, but as a side affect I got that, they scream a lot)

Are budgies relatively easy to breed? Perhaps it's something I should try

I use to have lots of budgies, all U need to do is have best boxes n male female birds. They use to breed heaps in spring time.
