Little Pedro fledged today!!!!! It was bittersweet for both me and momma Bella! he will still let us handle him for a few days until he masters flying but pretty sure he’ll be just as wild as the others by next week.

One of my blue males seemed to be in distress today too and I’m at a loss as to what could be wrong. He was all fluffed up and then unsteady in flight. He actually let mr muddy catch and hold him and his breast looked funny but no visible injury. I can’t tell if he is my original male or 1 of the babies but max age estimate would be 2 +/- years.

I didn’t have my phone while we were out there yesterday. I will make sure to take it out when I check on them today.

2 of Pedro and one of Habby (Pedro’s daddy) momma Bella has already rebuilt nest and laid 1 new egg. 2nd nest has 4 eggs but no one sitting today.
