Aww poor chick. And our little super fluffy one finally got feathers and looks to be a pullet... Granted, this group seems to be more pure in genetics than our lights brahmas and have more feathers on their feet, so maybe that whole "slow to mature" is true for this group. However if we happen to get a rooster, that means we'd have four and I'd have to rehome our egger roos(another thread for pics) hubby wants more Brahmas which I don't blame him, they are super sweet, calm, chill and big and fluffy!!! LolI love the updates!! Thank you! My Fern is currently COVERED in pin feathers. Like her little body decided to grow them ALL AT ONCEOne of the others pecked one tonight and she was bleeding. She is the only one with a ton of baby fluff still and she keeps cramming herself under other chicks to keep warm. Theyāre six weeks old now too. Tonight I felt her legs in comparison to Myrtleās (BB her sister) and Iām pretty positive that they are thicker and she feels heftier.
