Buff Silkie Thread!

I bought some hatching eggs from a local man who had advertised on CL. The eggs were supposed to be 4 buff silkies and 5 barred rocks. This is what hatched. (None of the barred rocks hatched.) Sorry they sort of bathed in their fermented feed dinner on picture day. What do you all think about my buff silkies? :-\

That is their Mommy Mommy. LOL I call her Momma. This is her second set of chicks she brooded this summer/fall. They are cuter than ever but I was still hoping for a buff or two instead of white and partridge. The red dirt in GA will color them buff in no time but they'll just look dirty instead of puffy.

Very good looking! How do you know that he is a boy? Mine are two months old and I havent been able to figure it out :/

I think he might be a pullet - he doesn't have the stance of a cockerel. Silkies are very hard to sex with authority before they are 4-5 mos. old.

Nope he's a boy. It's just the pictures I posted. I'm very confident.

His "cock of the walk" pictures are always blurry (see below). Believe me, I wish you were right and I was wrong!!!

LOL he looks exactly like my baby boy silkie after i gave him a bath, and his spiky mohawk became a puffy ball. Except yours have his little cute puffy cheeks and beard im jealous.

My two little girls ( both dna sex tested as female) one is 8 weeks old the other is 6 weeks old.
