Building My First Coop

Pics
Cute! Do they explore the ramp at all? Go up there to play/jump?

Yes they do , they were going maybe half way up the ramp and then running back down . My daughter and one of the boys just helped get them back in the coop , one of the barred rocks was not happy to go back inside , she pecked my daughter when she blocked her in at the pop door with her hands , too funny . They are all back inside now , they had a good day in the run .

What are those green squares....some motion detecting?
C'mon.... let's see some pan and tilt!!

I sooo wish I could have coop cams!

Yes on the green squares , thats the motion detected . I will have to see if there is a way to shut that off . I'll get another video up later with some pan and tilt . For a $35 camera I am pretty impressed with it . How far is your coop from your house? To far to run ethernet cable ?

Edit :
Here is another video showing the tilt and pan

Ehhh...not that far, maybe 30 feet as the chicken flies, but getting it into the house would be an issue. Is that how yours is running?

I get pretty good wifi signal out in the coop so I didn't need to run any cable . I was thinking maybe wireless access point or wifi booster in your case ?

Oooh that’s a fancy setup! In color, too. Not at all bad for $35. What brand, can you post a link? My coop is about 100 feet from the house and the wifi is pretty weak back there, don’t know if it will be good enough, but maybe I’ll give it a try and return it if it doesn’t pick up the signal.

I do have a wireless router for my DSL that works with my laptop in the nest room...
...but I don't know if that would work for a cam or how to set up that stuff.
I used to be fairly tech savvy, but pretty much a luddite anymore. :gig

aart , take a look at this youtube video on setting one of these cameras up , if you can plug in a usb cable and type your router.wifi password you can set it up . It takes about 5 minutes per camera . I was afraid it would be difficult but it was so simple I was astounded . If your laptop gets signal in the nest room I would think one of these Wyze cameras would work .
