Building My First Ever Coop and Run

Handy tip: If you paint the hardware mesh flat black it makes the run look like it has no wire at all.Basic grey hardware cloth isn't attractive and black vinyl coated is too expensive for most of us. Wishing you the best in your future coop and run!
I was thinking about doing that! or buying the vinyl coated wire but I hadn't yet looked into it enough to find out the price. Knowing that it is more expensive is helpful though! Thank you!

Too many people let their chickens run all over the neighborhood which is why most of us can't have chickens anymore. My chickens have never crossed the highway or went in my neighbors yard(the closest one is a couple hundred ft to my right) My chickens have a 60 x 60 fenced yard back and a 30 x 50 fenced yard out front plus the wooded area behind us if they dare fly over the fence and go up there.
My chickens know if they don't stay home they don't get out
Yeah I can definitely see how people not keeping their chickens in their yard properly would cause lots of problems with the neighbors.

Your chickens have so much space!

In fact, since I'm leaning more towards the plans for The Garden Coop, I had used their contact us email address on Monday to ask them for advice on modifying their plans to fit the requirements of my city.

I heard back them this morning! I think that between the advice they gave and the advice from @Snowbelt, making this coop is something that has become a lot more manageable for me. With the only obstacle left being my overnight work schedule which requires me to sleep during the day and even on my days off I can stay up no later than 1pm at the latest if I push myself, otherwise I'm typically in bed by no later than 10:30am on my days off.
