They kill the snakes because snakes are a threat. They won’t avoid the snakes because they won’t avoid eliminating threats simply to avoid pain. All the bites are on the head or the neck because the dogs are killing the snakes when bit.Oh WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I normally don’t even mind snakes, even had a pet one VERY briefly, but I would NOT be able to live there hahah I draw the line at venomous ones. Especially if they’re harming my animals. That said, I would think the dogs would learn about snakes and avoiding them after so many bites? I know they do snake avoidance training out west, I would think lived experiences would teach just the same ha but maybe the snakes hide too well or something.
That’s a bulldog for you. They’re built to be tough, brave, protective, and stupid.
