My 13 or 14 week old orpington pullet is suddenly (I think) having a foot issue. She keeps it in the air quite a bit, and often when she puts it down it ends up being that what should be the top and/or side is on the bottom. Doing a quick poke and squeeze check did not seem to hurt her. Not sure what's up.

Can you see if the foot has any bruising or injury?
What do you feed?

I would get B- Complex and give her 1/4 tablet a day.

You can try splinting/taping the foot flat to see if that helps too. Just be sure to check it daily and not wrap too tightly.

I don't see any obvious injury, and when I squeeze the foot she doesn't react.

I've been feeding grower crumble primarily lately.

What is your kind of thinking with the vitamins?

If your grower feed is 17% or higher, then that should be fine.

I'm not sure about the question of my thinking with the vitamins? B vitamins are great in giving a boost. B2 (Riboflavin) is supportive of leg issues. The easiest way to get B vitamins into a bird is using human B-Complex vitamins. For age and size 1/4 tablet once a day is sufficient.
