I have a chicken with bumble foot on both of her feet. One is large (maybe medium but I've never had a chicken with it before so I don't have anything to compare it to) and the other is just starting- about a week ago and is small. She is at least 3 yrs old (maybe 4 yrs old) and still laying eggs.
Should I remove it or just let it be because she's 3-4 yrs old? Before we knew what it was, we cleaned it and removed some of the puss and bandaged her up. I would have no problem removing the kernel and all the gross stuff if I could numb the area or give her some kind of pain killer. It breaks my heart to think of hurting her.
Thank you everyone!
PS- does anyone know how to get rid of Northern Fowl Mite larvae stuck on feathers? Should I clean the feathers or should I cut them?
