Bumble Pics

Pics - both from same duck - concerning how fast these appeared. It’s my runner who is as light as a feather so weight isn’t the problem. She does run around much more than the others.

Great pictures!

I suspect there might be some infection in foot #1 and all of the other red spots are maybe the beginning of bumbles.

Is there any chance you can take her to a vet?

Poor Gabby she was just at the vet - i guess she's going to be my problem child. Yes I can get her to a vet - is this 'emergency' or 'within the week' situation?

Email those pictures to the vet and ask them. I would say that it's not an emergency because she isn't limping yet, but I am not a vet.

This is going to sound very unconventional however I got Peking ducks 2 years ago and when I got them they had bumble foot so bad. I had an in ground pool that we didn't use anymore and it still had a lot of chlorine in it. My husband and I did research to see if it would harm the ducks and in our findings it was perfectly fine if the chlorine was low as it prevented bacteria build up and helped with the poop. Believe it or not in 1 week all of the ducks bumble foot was gone. If you are using a small plastic kids pool put in 1/4 cup of pool chlorine and stir it around really good before letting them enter it. They are also always nice and white. The vet told us that there skin was fine and not dried out from it, go figure. We have never had an issue with bumble foot since. I am not a vet and like I said you can research this for yourself before using. I hope this helps out I wish you the best of luck!!!!!!
