Am boiling the razor blades now. I don't think a very big cut needs to be made, it feels close to the surface. We'll see how it goes; I'll stop cutting if the amount of blood gets scary.?...Yep that's a swollen foot..

So it appears that thing isn't coming out without cutting. It feels connected to pus that I can now feel right under it. I've been trying to work it out with tweezers for the last 10 minutes & my back feels like it's crumbling!
Whoops.....That is such a small hole.... how do you get all the pus out without cutting it open more?
I would actually try pulling the plug out through that hole first before cutting the foot...Am boiling the razor blades now. I don't think a very big cut needs to be made, it feels close to the surface. We'll see how it goes; I'll stop cutting if the amount of blood gets scary.
Trust me, it won't come out that way, lol. It's a huge plug and a very tiny hole.I would actually try pulling the plug out through that hole first before cutting the foot...
One large plug removed! Thank you Lord!! I used a small razor blade; had to make about a 3/4 inch total cut on her foot, poor thing. There was a lot of fluid that came out when I made the first cut, and her ankle rapidly deflated and looked more normal. There are some firm bits still, but they have a different character to them than the pus plug did, and either way, I'm not putting the poor girl through any more exploratory surgery tonight. She's had 4 pills, two soaks, and her foot cut open---she's started hissing when I come down the stairs, and no wonder too. If the foot remains irritated and those harder bits don't improve then I might have to see if there's any more to remove.
There was not much blood except for a trickle whenever I first made a cut. Sorry, no foot images, I and my helper were both out of hands. Maybe later when I change her bandage.
