Bumblefoot?

Thats what i thought it was too, I soaked her for 30 minutes and went to remove it and it is actually skin, I'll take a better picture in the morning

Bumble is hard chunks of infection... it is attached a lot of times too... it will seem like tearing out a chunk of tissue, but it is not healthy, it sometimes bleeds quite a bit, but without removing that it won't heal...

Ok so i removed the skin and I'm guessing that's the plug? Do I just cut around it to remove it?

That is the infection, all that whitish stuff in the middle... it may be rooted down and hard to tear out, but get all of that out... only leave pink, healthy tissue...

ETA: don't cut, that is usually staph... use tweezers and pull it out, pieces at a time if need be...

You got it!!! :thumbsup

Great job! That is just healthy tissue left that I see... you can put Neosporin in there if you like and gauze over it to pad it so it's easier for her to walk on while it heals... keep checking it to make sure no more reoccurs...

I really hope that a LOT of our membership people will read this series of posts. I feel it is the best example of communication between like-minded people--some who may have more experience, sharing with those who don't have as much experience. There are excellent photos that illustrate the point, and finally the problem is solved! Voila!!
I am so proud to know these ladies. Well done! Yes, very well done.
