I use the iodine every other day, once you can peel the scab off easily then you pick out the plug then use an antibiotic ointment pack the hole and wrap. You'll most likely have to change the bandage every other day till it's healed. They can get so dirty.

Ok, great! Thank you. I've never wrapped a duck's foot before; do you have any suggestions about techniques or products to use?

Why fix what ain't broken?
If the Duck is fine, they also develop calloused feet and self heal if infection didn't get into the foot. So if yours is fine then zero reason for treatment.
I hope its just a callous, that would be a much simpler thing. But if it does end up being bumblefoot, then the staph bacteria can eventually spread to the bone and kill the duck. Better safe then sorry :sick

Wow..That's pretty harsh. I'd have dead Ducks everywhere if that was the case. All I'm saying is if the Bird is doing great then nothing needs to be done. Why cause issues to a foot that has healed itself...

I'm sorry, I definitely wasn't trying to be harsh! I was just hoping to inform, I know how dangerous bumblefoot can be in chickens. I definitely hope that it's just a self-healing kind of deal.

I didn't mean harsh to me..I meant harsh in terms of out come to the OPs Duck that is doing fine still..definitely picking away at feet that are okay could cause infection that the Bird doesn't need.

Oh I see, I definitely wasn't intending that either. Just hoping that they keep a keen eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse. I never recommend picking at bumblefoot anyways, I think it causes unnecessary damage. Tricide-Neo soaks are the way to go.

I have gotten a few Ducks with bad feet. I did nothing except provide clean areas and now they have great feet with calloused spots. Lots of swimming with clean surfaces to walk on.
