Button quail ID

@Nabiki @CuriousCucco Hi, thanks for helping me, I really appreciate it. The uail are nearly 3 weeks old. I see some white on the bib of the 2 redbreasted, but its a little bit pastel, and not the same white I've seen indicating males in information videos. Also, I've noticed the redbreasted are different shades? Also, one of them has some white around his eyelid, and a different head shape, that none of the others have.
Also, one of the whites is developing black feathers, while the other isn't. I've noticed when that same white cleans their neck, some of their red skin is visible. Is that fine? Also, I think he's the only one I've seen clean their neck.
I have a ton of images, sorry!
And thank you!

It's too early to see the bibs yet. The one that has some baldness on the back may be from feather picking. Feather picking usually is caused by not enough protein or because they're too hot.

Based on what you said about their feed, I'm guessing not enough protein. Can you find a turkey starter in your area? Those are usually in the right protein range.

I could, but I don't really want to buy another expensive food bag. Can I feed them the eggs every 1-2 days, would it suffice?
Also, when can I expect to be seeing the bib? Most info videos said 3 weeks.

It sounds like you've been watching videos and such regarding coturnix quail rather than buttons. A lot of people assume that they're the same, but they're not.

I really recommend getting the bag of turkey starter and saving what you have for when they hit 12 weeks or so. What you have sounds good for adults, just not chicks.

Feeding egg will help, but isn't a substitute for proper diet. Try boiling the egg and giving them just the yolk after you crush it up.
