They are most definitely tiny! In fact, they are so small I was afraid to handle the first ones that hatched. I was scared to death I'd hurt them.

Then, I watched with amazement as those little darlings clambered up on top of their little stuffed animal and lept off. I watched them climb up onto the mama in the other pen and watched her knock them every which way if they were in the way. I watched them fall off her back/wing as she walked, roll over, and get up and keep on going.

I am now able to pick them up (ever so gently, still) without fear. I have a very light & gentle touch, anyway, so there is little chance that I'll accidentally hurt one. They are just so tiny it is more like holding a butterfly than a bird!

Okay, so the new hatch sad to say my cat got it....we had to leave for the afternoon and thought we secured the tank w/ the babies in it but one of my cats figured out how to mess with it and she got that one baby.
One hatched this evening but passed away shortly after :*( SSSoo out of 13 eggs 5 hatched and out of those 5 I have the 3 that firsted hatched and they are doing great!

Mine are due tomorrow, I already fixed up the brooders for'em. All I have to do is turn on the heat lamp and put food and water into the feed/water dishes.
