The Kagu is nicknamed "The Ghost of the Forest" and is found in the forests of New Caledonia. It is very unique, and very cute!

The more I see this the more familiar it becomes. I'm thinking I've seen pictures of this species before, which considering I went to New Caledonia is highly likely

It was actually my first "overseas" trip ever. We only got a few brief days in the actual country (went to Noumea and Lifou) honestly I may just go again one day, it was lovely and I would love to explore there more!
