It was raining most of the day here. I did get two produce boxes of apples to deal with (tomorrow) but the time was spent helping DH clean the chimney. I can see fall coming in the currant bushes!

Our river is up and completely over our island, flooded again. It was low for quite a while.
I am down to 5 chickens, and 2 adult goats, and 4 kids. Next year I should be able to go on my first vacation in over 10 years.

Being unable to travel is the only downside to having chickens, for me. I will be missing a friend's wedding out in Colorado this October because I don't have a chicken sitter.

I couldn't fall asleep last night and woke up with hip and ankle pain this morning. Nowhere near as bad as it's been so I am still making slow and steady progress.
BIL just got back from running the girls for me. They are much happier.
Hoping to get some work done out in the coop today with C and nieces help.

So some guy just walked down my driveway and said he was told my house was for sale. Someone called my daughter out of state and asked the same a week or two ago. SMH.

We paid lots to have our roof done right 2 years ago.
