Found a fart egg in the nests yesterday...probably one of the brahmas coming back into lay. Those tiny eggs don't come often, and I know what they are, but they still kind of amaze me. Still getting a marans egg every other day.

Snowing. Shoveled about an inch or so off the path, didn't bother with the run, will wait until the snow ends later this morning. Grateful once again that I built the coop large enough to feed scratch at one end while I tend to the other end. I opened the pop door, but I doubt they'll go out there.

Putting off the grocery run I had planned today, will go tomorrow even tho I don't care to shop on the weekends.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee! It is supposed to be a pretty day with sun and no breeze. I can do that!

We are heading down to help DS@ tomorrow and picking up a load of hardwood from his work, so today we will fire up the truck and chainsaws and make sure it is all good to go.
I have a pot roast in the crockpot for later on and I need to make bread.

Well, the snow that was supposed to end by noon went on and off all day between nothing and snow globe. About 4" so far.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I opened the door this morning to what felt and looked like the arctic tundra. Brrr!

I have a Celebration of Life to attend today for a former colleague of mine. Tomorrow my niece turns 21 and we are going out to a Japanese restaurant for dinner to celebrate with her followed by Cold Stone Creamery ice cream cake at her family's house.

Shoveled another 3-4" off the coop path, and all of the 6-7" out of the run. Luckily all nice and light fluffy stuff, tho the bending needed sure sparked off the hip twinge.....and it's still coming down, again supposed to stop around noon tho there's no predicting lake effect.

Me too, though hubby was very disappointed the last 2-3 times we went there. He won't go there again for ice cream.

They did not have vanilla ice cream. Nope, none.
