These are their very first eggs and both given on the same day. What are the chances of that?!

I have another hen laying now! I am pretty sure it's Little, as she also has a very red comb and wattles. It was also a Little sized egg at 55 grams. She's a full size hen, but has always laid the smallest eggs.

Be careful what you name your chickens, as they could live up (or down) to the moniker.

Almost all animals here are named because of a trait or behavior. Little would have been known as 'Little' here.

Little was the smallest chick when I got my first batch. She grew to the same size as the other Black Australorps. She is probably the smartest of those three. She figures things out first.
