I hear ya, DL! We have a pond in the side yard. It's only a few inches deep. I'll find out if my coop boots are waterproof, I guess. I need to go get some wood.

Yesterday, I put the ashes from the ash bucket on the slippery spots on our driveway. I needn't have bothered; it was bare in most of those spots by the afternoon walk.

It did get the secondary goal accomplished: the ash bucket is empty.

Everything is melting, tho slowly so no real flooding...just a lot of soggy, and mucky where I didn't get enough wood chips down last fall.
Supposed to get some rain the next 2 days, hopefully not too hard or a lot.

We are alternating between snow flurries and sun. We went for a nice 1.5 mile walk before the clouds started to build. Change in elevation= 500 ft. I think that is just my driveway...

Good Morning All,
Having my 2nd coffee now.

We got a bit of rain late last night, but sunshine now so I am looking forward to do a bit of garden work today.

I need to write down a list of things I buy for my chickens preparing for a colder weather to come. I just need to buy them all in one place so that save on shipment fee.
