Thank you for the lovey morning coffee.

I also have Slow Instrumental Jazz music playing, so relaxing hearing listening to Jazz and it makes me feel like I am on vaccination because in the hotel they often have Jazz in the background.

Got total 26 eggs last week, that is a big jump from just 13 or 14 to 26. It will be more as my hens are starting to return to egg laying.

I restrained myself from searching for caterpillars. At least until the very end of the walk. I found this cool dude.

As we were approaching the car, this little fawn walked out and looked like he was walking after Bella. Piper never saw him, thank goodness. I put them back in the car and walked back towards him. He was letting me get quite close and I couldn't see his mother. She may have been hit by a car. He was pretty thin but munching on the grass so maybe he'll make it.

Why do deer and raccoons have to be so. dang. cute! They are so. dang. destructive!

You can see where the deer have munched on the farmer's corn out in the his fields. There are a LOT of them this year.

The wildfire smoke *should* be less tomorrow. I'm going to do a load of laundry to hang on the line. Hopefully the poop smell from the farmer's field will be less too.

The roosters also help raise the chicks and they eat high protein diets. I can not imagine give high protein idiet to my Isa Brown because her egg will be so big that she will have egg bound.

It sure stinks out there right now! I opened the front door to shoo off three young bucks, and wheeeeee-eeeeeeeew!
