BYC Café

I had a cup tonight as well and I hardly ever drink coffee at night. We had just got finished painting a bedroom and my husband was cold and made coffee. It was good, but nothing is as good as that first cup in the morning.

No coffee, just a hot fire. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. Those are usually really great days for me so I am opposite-superstitious. (Gotta be a better word than that, anti-superstitious? )
How about you all?

Coldest temperatures in the past 20 years predicted for the next 3 days.

I'll trade you.

It was 108F here yesterday and about 103F today.

I am slowly cooking from the inside out!

Pretty sure Amazon would have it..... maybe we should all order a small jar and have a vegemite tasting with our coffee, you know instead of wine and cheese....

Oh my, do they ever have it! That and Milo, Tim Tams and lots of other stuff.
So Krista, do you prefer Vegemite or Marmite? I read up on the history of Vegemite- pretty interesting!

Vegemite FOR SURE! Marmite and Promite are ok, and are similar, but I reckon if you did a survey less than 1% of the Aussie population would have them in their pantry. EVERYONE has good old vegemite! The trick with it is to butter your toast first and only put a thin smear of the vegemite. Don't slather it on like peanut butter - unless your a professional like us Aussies! It will be too much for you otherwise!

Oh, and vegemite goes great with cheese! We often have vegemite and cheese sandwiches. If we get really crazy we add lettuce. And no, lol, I'm not kidding!

Tim Tams - people, do yourselves a favour! If you can get some Tim Tams you will never regret it. Holy moly, they are good. Even better is to bite each end off your Tim Tam, and then suck your milo through the biscuit!

AMAZING!

I did hit a kangaroo with my car on a Friday 13th but that was many years ago now. It's just another day to me now.

But you won't find me walking under a ladder. No sirree, I'm not one to tempt fate like that!

Oh, @Mtn Margie....

If you're shopping for Tim Tams, you may as well pick up a block of Cadbury Chocolate while you're at it.

Cadbury has got me through the toughest times of my life. Along with the Tim Tams, of course!

It's almost 9 pm and I'm drinking coffee. Crazy I know. But I never turn down a cup freshly made just for me. :)

Ha ha, I made myself a mug of coffee around 2100 also. Poor wife has been stuck with the kids with me at work for almost two weeks straight and wanted to hang out but I was tired. So as not to spoil the evening, coffee was needed.

Now I am coffeeing-up! Then I will do the chicken chores and off to rowboat out to the goose nest and put fresh hay in it for the year and fill another one beside the lake and rake Miz Betty's lawn in exchange for lunch. She is 92 years young and I really want to grow up and be like her.....

When The bottom fell out of just about everything, my aunt came to my door with five bars of 80% dark chocolate.
I survived the hard times. I give her and the chocolate the credit!
